    The Brothers Solomon Movie Trailer

Once again we come to a movie that critics weren’t allowed to see before its release. This of course only happens with the best of movies. Movies so good they can’t possibly be judged. And in case you’re unsure, I am spewing out sarcasm at an accelerated rate. My only wish is that I could get a reimbursement for my entrance fee and pay it in full with this overflowing bank of sarcasm.

But I digress…

The story of The Brothers Solomon follows two brothers, Dean (played by the writer of this film and Saturday Night Live comedian Will Forte) and John Solomon (Arrested Developments Will Arnett). These two kind, but not so bright brothers are put on a mission of mercy and love to fulfill their dying fathers last request to have a grandchild. The brothers set off on a whirlwind journey to find someone to have a baby with.

The roadblock they run into is that both brothers spent their early years home-schooled in a frozen location. So with their inept social skills and general lack of higher brain function the brothers set off to make their father a granddad.

The review on this movie is somewhat easy because while it had its funny moment it still wasn’t a favorite of mine. This could be because of all the great comedies this year or it could be the fact it feels like one long SNL skit. In my opinion it misses its mark and is just a dumb Dumb and Dumber…er.
