Arizona Man In Jail After Fight In San Luis Obispo

handcuffsOne person is in the hospital and another is in police custody after getting in a fight early this morning.

Officials of the San Luis Obispo Police Department say 28-year-old Cody Bovee was found face down and unconscious in the street.  He did not regain consciousness and was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment.  He has major facial injuries.

Based on witness accounts, officers located suspect 27-year-old Gregory Gonoch of Buckeye, Arizona.

It happened just before 1:30 AM in San Luis Obispo at Los Osos Valley Road and Calle Joaquin.

Officials say the two began arguing at the AMPM before moving across the street.  Gonoch kicked Bovee’s face and head, in addition to punching him.

Gonoch was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon (his feet) and Mayhem. He is being transported to San Luis Obispo County Jail. He was treated for injuries to his hands.

Bovee is in stable condition at the hospital.
