Two Juveniles Accused of Arson

Two juveniles accused of arson in Atascadero. The two allegedly set a fire that caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to a vacant Atascadero building. Atascadero fire responded just before 11:00 Monday night to a single-story structure fire on Entrada Avenue. Firefighters extinguished the fire in about five minutes. A grass fire burned 15 acres near Highway 58 and O’Donovan Road near Creston yesterday afternoon. Cal Fire received a report of the fire at 1 yesterday afternoon. The fire was contained at 4:19. No structures were damaged. There were no reported injuries.

Fatal Car Crash on Cuesta Grade

A fatal car crash on the Cuesta Grade Friday night leaves a 16-year-old girl dead.  The girl is identified as Emily Reyes of Wasco.  She graduated from the Grizzly Academy in San Luis Obispo in December. 21-year-old Gino Lopez of Arvin was booked into the county jail on charges of murder, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, felony DUI and driving …
