Residents File Claim Against County for Contaminated Water


Residents living near the San Luis Obispo Airport file a claim against the county.  The issue is contamination of their water wells. 11 out of 61 water well near Buckley Road had high levels of TCE. 20 families near the airport have started the process of suing the county.

Two Arrested in Drug Deal Gone Wrong


Paso Robles police arrest two men in connection with a drug deal that went bad and ended in a shoot-out earlier this week. Two 19-year-old men arrested on several felonies. Cross on County Seal May Violate Constitution


A judge in LA rules that a cross on the LA County seal violates the US and State Constitutions. The cross was removed from a conspicuous place in the seal in 2004. A massive structure fire late last night in Nipomo, where more than a 100 farm workers were to live while picking strawberries. Santa Maria farmers Greg and Donna France built four home on South Oakglen Avenue. Two others were under construction. California loses an icon of country music. Merle Haggard dies on his birthday this week at the age of 79. The singer songwriter died of pneumonia at a hospital near this home in Redding.
