A home invasion robbery yesterday in Orcutt. Three men broke into a woman’s home and robbed her at gun point. The robbery occurred on Via Vista Verde near Del Norte Way. The Santa Barbara Zoo has a new baby giraffe. The giraffe born Saturday after five hours of labor. The sex, height, weight and health of the calf have not been determined. This week, the calf will have its first medical examination. The calf has not yet been named.

Two houses and three vehicles damaged by fire yesterday in Morro Bay. The fire on the 2700 block of Cedar Avenue was caused by barbecue coals thrown into a garbage can. Hiker Falls Off Rocks at Montana de Oro State Park

A man who slipped and fell on rocks at Montana de Oro State Park yesterday was airlifted to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis. The man fell around 1:00 yesterday afternoon at Hazard Canyon. His head landed on rocks and he lost consciousness. He also suffered a cut to his cheek.
