Sherpa Fire Closes Portions of Hwy 101


A portion of Highway 101 was closed and evacuations were ordered due to a large brush fire that broke out Wednesday afternoon between Gaviota and Goleta. Possible False Alarm Of Gas Leak In Avila Beach


No evidence of a possible natural gas leak was found after someone reported an unknown odor in Avila Beach Tuesday. CAL FIRE says a call came in around 10am with a report of a gas leak at a housing complex along San Miguel Street. Fire In Paso Salvage Yard


A fire erupted in a salvage yard near Paso Robles Monday evening. Crews from CAL FIRE and Paso Robles Fire Department were dispatched to a salvage yard near Highway 101 north of Paso Robles around 5:30 PM.  Upon arrival, they found 10 to 15 cars engulfed in flames.  The fire was contained.  The cause is still under investigation.

Farming Community Upset Over Deforestation In Paso

Folks on the Central Coast held a candlelight vigil Sunday night for the victims of the mass shooting in Orlando. Shooting In Santa Maria Leaves One In Hospital


A man is recovering in a local hospital following a shooting in Santa Maria.  Late Wednesday night officers responded to the 200 block of North Smith Street and found the man with a sustained gunshot wound.  He was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.  No arrests have been made.  The investigation is ongoing.
