Suspect Arrested After Injuring Sheriff’s Sergeant

A Santa Barbara man is in custody after injuring a Sheriff’s Sergeant and fleeing the scene. Twenty one-year-old Ricky Cooper Ramirez is charged with resisting arrest with force and obstructing or delaying a peace officer. He is also charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. Power outage causes Highway 101 to be closed

The northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 101 in Arroyo Grande had to be closed down last night after a vehicle knocked over a power pole. Arroyo Grande Police say the driver in the accident was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. PG&E says power was knocked out to more than 5,300 customers.   Read More »

Children’s Resource Network Receives Contribution From PG&E
