Suspect Identified In Officer Involved Shooting


The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the name of the suspect from the officer involved shooting which occurred on Sunday night, October 6, in the 3200 block of Beach Club Road near Carpinteria.  The suspect is 29 year old Jeremy Leon Bordegaray of Cayucos in San Luis Obispo County.  Bordegaray remains in critical condition at a local hospital. …

Woman Sentenced To Prison After Hitting Two Cyclists, Killing One


The woman who hit two cyclists on Labor Day of this year, killing one and injuring the other, was sentenced yesterday. Twenty-nine-year-old Jessica Goddard, got the maximum sentence of 11 years and 8 months in prison. Panga Boat Found On Beach Near Cayucos


CHP fixed wing aircraft located what appeared to bean abandoned Panga Boat on the beach North of Cayucos over the weekend. Sheriff's Patrol and Detective personnel along with State Park Rangers and Cal Fire, responded to the location and secured the 45 foot vessel.
