A power outage occurred in Atascadero this morning.  The outage was first noticed about 7:30. About 2300 customers were affected. Atascadero Fire said at 9:40 all power had been restored. PG&E is investigating the cause.

Man With Three Felony Warrants Arrested


This morning about 5 a.m., San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 38-year-old Marc Steele of Atascadero. Three active felony warrants had been issued for Steele including a December 2012 charge of assault with a deadly weapon for intentionally ramming his vehicle into a Sheriff's patrol unit. Missle Launced From Vandeberg Air Force Base


A Minuteman Three Missile was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base around 3:30 this morning.  The unarmed intercontinental ballistic missile is the second test launch in a week. A Minuteman Three was successfully tested on September 22nd.   The Air Force says it is checking the readiness, effectiveness, and accuracy of the weapon system.

Man Pleads No Contest To DUI Hit And Run Charges


Vincente Montes pleaded no contest yesterday in court to charges of hitting and killing two people while driving intoxicated on Highway 46. The August 17 accident claimed the lives of a couple from Bakersfield.   Montes faced two counts of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and one count of hit and run causing death.   The CHP says Montes and a …
