New Atascadero Transit Center Opens

The city and the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments (SLOCOG) have opened the Atascadero Transit Center. Located next to city hall on Capistrano Avenue, it will be the central pick-up and drop-off place for bus riders. Two People Dead After Car Collides With Tree In Grover Beach

A fatal accident last night in Grover Beach.  According to police, two people in a car were traveling on El Camino Real near Oak Park Blvd. around 9:30 when the driver ran into a tree. Bad Weather Kept Numbers Low At Cesar Chavez Celebration

Not much of a turnout for the annual Cesar Chavez party at Silver Shoals Beach yesterday.  Rainy weather kept students away. Officers say there were no major incidents, but they did arrest 17 people for alcohol-related crimes, including public intoxication and possession of alcohol on the beach. Garage Fire Ignites Templeton Home

A garage fire partially destroyed a house in the 100 block of Hortsman in Templeton just after 7:30 yesterday morning.  A fire broke out in the garage and quickly spread to the attic and bedroom of the home. Gas Prices Down

Average retail gasoline prices in California have fallen 0.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $4.03/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 10,526 gas outlets in California. This compares with the national average that has fallen 1.9 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.61/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com. Read More »

Student Drug Dealer Arrested In Isla Vista
