Andrew Gilbertson, the Paso Robles man accused of robbing the Bank of America in San Luis Obispo last summer, competent to stand trial, according to the San Luis Obispo County Court. In October, Gilbertson, entered pleas of not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity. He was arrested on July 24, the same day the bank on Santa Rosa Street was robbed. Police said Gilbertson wore a hat and glasses to disguise himself and handed the teller a note demanding money. He was spotted in Atascadero a few hours later. He is expected back in court next month to set a trial date.
