Cal Poly Students Give House to Family in Need

Cal Poly students have given a family in need the house of their dreams. Through a program called Polyhouse, 26 Project Management graduate students give an extreme home makeover. They remodeled a family's home in Grover Beach and unveiled it on Sunday. The resident has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, so the home was remodeled to fit his needs. The remodeled home features a handicap accessible bathroom, a new kitchen, and a lift to help the man living there get out of bed and into his wheelchair. The students held fundraisers to pay for the remodeling and received donations from local businesses. The family would have had to pay $100,000 to renovate the house had it not been for the Polyhouse program.
