Carlyn Christianson Wins SLO Council Seat In Special Election

Carlyn-ChristiansonSan Luis Obispo has a new city council member.  In a special election by mail yesterday, Carlyn Christianson received 4,138 votes, or 48 percent of the vote.

Paul Brown followed with 3,371 votes, or 39 percent.  The third candidate, Donald Hedrick, received 217 votes.

Christianson will be sworn in on July 2nd.

Paso Robles will swear in its new chief of police July 2 as well.  He is Robert Burton, who takes over for Lisa Solomon.  Burton has been with the Paso Robles Police Department for 17 years.
