Man Arrested In Connection With Morro Bay Burglaries

Morro Bay Police arrested a man for three vehicle burglaries.  Police say Jose Vazquez-Zuniga of Fresno broke into and stole property from two vehicles in Morro Bay and one vehicle in Northern San Luis Obispo County. 28-year-old Vasquez-Zuniga was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail for burglary and possession of burglary tools. Fire officials say the White Fire in Los Padres National Forest is contained. It broke out Monday afternoon and burned 1, 984 acres. The estimated cost of the damages is nearly $3 million. No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Read More »

Woman Dies From Carbon Monoxide Poisoning At Lake Nacimiento

Officials are investigating the death of a 23-year-old woman from Salinas who stopped breathing at Lake Nacimineto last weekend. Deputies were flagged down on Sunday to help two people who were thought to be suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning—the result of sitting at the back of a boat near engine exhaust. Investigation Continues In Paso Robles Residential Fire

Officials continue to investigate the cause of the residential fire that broke out in Paso Robles last weekend.  It happened on Saturday at 614 Olive Street and damaged seven structures. Property and content loss for these residences totals $501,000. The adjacent home at 612 Olive suffered a $252,000 worth of damages. No injuries have been reported. Read More »

One 33-year-old man is in San Luis Obispo County Jail for Felony Possession of Narcotics. Paso Robles police arrested Esteban Ortiz of Compton on Wednesday. Police Search Carpinteria For Parolee On The Run

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s office wants the public to lookout for a parolee who ran from deputies Monday night.  22-year-old Joseph Vallejo of Carpinteria is on parole for assault with a deadly weapon. Explosion In Restaurant Kitchen Leaves Cook In Hospital

A cook at Mo’s Smokehouse Barbeque restaurant in San Luis Obispo has serious injuries after a kitchen explosion.  It happened at about 6 p.m. yesterday at the restaurant on Monterey Street. Deputies Arrest Suspected Drug Smugglers At Traffic Stop On Los Osos Valley Road
