Charges Filed Against One Involved in Shooting of Geoff Hyde

The San Luis Obispo County District Attorney's Office has filed felony charges against 22-year old Brian Thomas Gonzales of Castro Valley. They believe Gonzales is one of two people connected to the shooting of former Cal Poly football player, Geoff Hyde.

Police investigators called it a "drug deal gone wrong". They said 22-year old Hyde was shot in his back inside of a house on the 400 block of Buena Vista Street in San Luis Obispo on November 21, 2013. The second suspect is described as an African American male, six feet tall with a lanky build, and police believe that man actually shot Hyde, adding that they believe he has since fled the county. The investigation is on going.
