Explosion In Restaurant Kitchen Leaves Cook In Hospital

Smokin-Mos-BBQA cook at Mo’s Smokehouse Barbeque restaurant in San Luis Obispo has serious injuries after a kitchen explosion.  It happened at about 6 p.m. yesterday at the restaurant on Monterey Street.

Fire officials say a commercial pressure cooker exploded, which blew a hole in the roof of the kitchen.

Employees helped the cook and paramedics took him to the hospital.

The cause of the explosion is unknown and Mo’s was closed for the rest of the night.
