The Paso Robles Police Department arrested 21-year-old Mario Sanchez Jr. of Templeton on 19th Street, after a person told police he was detaining a suspected car burglar.

The citizen saw the car owner exit their residence to check on their van, but he warned them that a burglar was inside.  The Good Samaritan proceeded to run outside, confront Sanchez, and detain him until police arrived.

Officers located nearly four grams of cocaine in Sanchez’s pocket upon his arrest.

Sanchez was booked in San Luis Obispo County Jail for Felony Auto Burglary and Felony Possession of Narcotics.
