Grover Beach Police On The Lookout For Attempted Purse Snatcher

Purse-snatcher-theifOn Monday July 29, at about 8:46 p.m., Grover Beach Police Officers were dispatched to Vons located at 1758 W. Grand Ave for a report of an attempted theft of a purse.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a male adult attempted to grab a female victim’s purse as she was walking through the Vons parking lot.  During the struggle for the purse the victim was thrown to the ground. A nearby citizen witnessed the attack and grabbed the suspect wrestling him away from the victim. The suspect threw the citizen to the ground and fled the scene on foot. 

The suspect was described as either a White or Hispanic male adult in his 20’s. Approximately 5’10” tall, clean shaven, short black hair, wearing a grey tank top with a dark hoodie and dark pants.
