Motorcyclist Killed In Paso Robles Accident

motorcycleOn March 17, the Paso Robles Police Department and the Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services responded to a single vehicle traffic accident with injury at the intersection of 24th Street and Mountain Springs Road.

Upon arrival it was determined that a motorcyclist apparently failed to negotiate a turn and struck a dirt berm. The driver was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained major injuries. The driver was transported by ambulance to Twin Cities Community Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the collision.  It is not known at this time if alcohol or drugs were a factor.  An investigation into the cause of the collision is on-going.
