Ontario Ridge is Open to Hikers Again

The “No Trespassing” signs and barbed wire that have turned people away from the Ontario Ridge hiking trail in the Avila Beach area are gone. The property owner has removed the "No Trespassing" signs from the Cave Landing Road entrance. San Luis Obispo County Parks officials say the owner also has to remove the fences blocking the public's right to the trail. The property is owned by local software developer. Parks officials say he has until the end of the week to take the fences down, or legal action will be taken.
