Paso Robles Man In Jail After Allegedly Carjacking A Man At Gunpoint

William-LeeOfficers received a report of a stolen vehicle in the 3200 block of Spring Street in Paso Robles, Tuesday at about 9:15 p.m.

The victim was confronted by two armed suspects who demanded he give them the keys to his car.  The victim gave up his keys and one of the suspects drove off in his car while the other got into another car and fled the scene.

Officials say one of the suspects was armed with a semi-automatic pistol and the other suspect had a “large” knife.

Officers located the victim’s car abandoned nearby.  The suspects removed the stereo and some of the victim’s property from the car.

The other car involved with the robbery was found at a service station on Spring Street and 24th Street.  Two adult males and two adult females were in the car.

The victim positively identified one of the male subjects as the person who had robbed him at gunpoint.  The suspect was identified as 31-year-old Paso Robles resident William Joseph Lee.

He was arrested and booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail for carjacking and assault with a deadly weapon.

One of the women in the car, 33-year-old Paso Robles resident Nacowa Penner, was arrested for a probation violation and booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail.
