Paso Robles PD Takes On Drugs And Gangs With New Special Enforcement Team

paso-robles-policeA new "Special Enforcement Team" is ramping up at the Paso Robles Police Department.  The team, known as "SET" focuses on drug and gang-related crime.

Lieutenant Ty Lewis says the team was put in place to answer requests from the community to address drug and gang problems in the area. Adding that "The SET team’s pro-activity will help us on a proactive basis address drugs and gangs which will also alleviate the work load from our patrol officers."

Two veteran officers make up the team. Sergeant Tod Rehner has 15 years with the department and detective Tony Ruiz has worked in Paso for 18 years.
