Police say they are still looking for the man who robbed a Grover Beach bank yesterday morning. Just after 10:30 a.m., Grover Beach police say a man entered the back entrance of Rabobank at 899 W. Grand Avenue, waited in line to see a bank teller, displayed a black semi-automatic pistol, then fled through the front door with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police are looking for an Asian man, 5 ft. 6 in. to 5 ft. 9 in. in height and approximately 150 pounds. They say he was wearing a gray hoodie, dark baseball cap and blue jeans that were dirty. He also had a mustache and salt-and-pepper goatee that was an inch to two inches long. Anyone with information about this case is urged to call the Grover Beach Police Department at (805) 473-4511. Police say the last bank robbery in the area they recall was in 2002.
