Popular Central Coast Marine Biologist To Spend Three Years On Probation

A popular Central Coast marine biologist will spend three years on probation after pleading guilty to feeding orca whales in the wild.  Nancy Black was sentenced yesterday for violating the Marine Mammal Protection Act.  She was also ordered to pay $12,500 dollars in fines and serve 300 hours of community service.  Black runs a whale-watching tour on the Monterey Bay and is one of a few experts who can recognize local killer whale pods by their fins and faces.
