The Santa Barbara county Sheriff’s office has announced that 60-year-old Tibor Karsai, was released Monday from Coalinga State Hospital and will take up residence in Santa Barbara County where he will register as a “transient” sex offender.
According to the Santa Barbara county Sheriff’s office, Karsai will be living in a motor home in several remote locations in northern Santa Barbara County. Telling the Tribune “he will have a GPS device attached and will be monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by guards contracted by the State of California Department of Mental Health through Liberty Healthcare.
A judge had originally ordered Karsai released to San Luis Obispo County to reside in a mobile home next to the Sheriff’s Office. But San Luis Obispo County officials objected, and the judge changed his ruling.
