SLO County Declares Drought Emergency

San Luis Obispo County has declared a drought emergency. SLO County is the 17th county in California to declare a drought emergency. The Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 this week. It got input from ag interests and from the public. The drought emergency is active for 30 days before the Board of Supervisors has to renew it. County officials are encouraging people to conserve water.
