Spatafore Withdraws From Candidacy For SLO Open Seat

John-SpataforeJohn Spatafore has withdrawn his candidacy for the open seat on the San Luis Obispo City Council.

Spatafore announced his candidacy five weeks ago as a late entry in the race, to fill the open position left by the resignation of Andrew Carter.

He says by withdrawing from the race he hopes voters can elect one candidate who can bring differing interests together.

The special election ballots will be mailed to San Luis Obispo residents on May 20th and must be received by the City Clerk's Office by 8:00 PM on June 18th.

The remaining candidates are Paul Brown, Carlyn Christianson, Donald Hedrick, and Kevin Rice.
