Suspect Sought After Stealing 18-Pack Of Beer From SLO Circle K

Beer-ThiefOn July 1, at approximately 2:20 am, San Luis Obispo Police Officers responded to the Circle K located at 158 Higuera after receiving a 911 call reporting a robbery had just occurred.  

The investigation revealed that the suspect entered the store and walked directly to the beverage cooler and selected an 18 pack of beer. The suspect then walked toward the front door and began running outside.  At this point the clerk gave chase. The suspect suddenly stopped and confronted the clerk telling him that he had a gun as he was reaching towards his waistband. No weapon was seen however, the clerk feared for his safety and went back into the store to call 911.

The suspect was described as a male Hispanic in his 20’s, approximately 5’8” tall with a thin build.  He was wearing a black baseball cap, black t-shirt and red shorts.  

The suspect ran to a pick-up truck, which was parked nearby and drove away from the scene with the lights out.  It was believed that a second suspect may have been waiting in the truck. The truck was described as a gold colored 1990’s full size pick-up, possibly a Chevrolet make.
