Teenager Assaulted And Robbed In SLO Parking Lot

Police-lightsSLOPD officers responded to a report of a robbery and battery that took place Friday in City Parking Lot #2, near the exit in the 1100 block of Broad St.   

A 17-year-old male victim was walking through the parking lot with his skateboard when he was approached by an unknown suspect who demanded the skateboard. When the victim refused to give up the skateboard, the suspect punched the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground. The suspect then took the skateboard, kicked the victim in the stomach, and fled the scene in a white Nissan Altima with tinted windows.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 30 years of age, 5’10” 250lbs with facial and neck tattoos.  He was wearing a blue t-shirt, jeans and a backwards baseball cap.  Witnesses reported the suspect was challenging others to fight and was yelling, “Bakersfield!” just prior to the robbery.

The victim sustained a facial injury as a result of the incident, and was treated and released from the scene.  Anyone with additional information in this case is urged to contact the San Luis Obispo Police Department.
