The Central Coast Bandit Strikes Again

On 14 August at approximately 2:26 p.m., the Pismo Beach Police Department received an alarm call from the Pacific Western Bank at 831 Oak Park Rd. in Pismo Beach.  Officers immediately responded to the area and bank where it was confirmed a robbery had occurred. The suspect’s description is very similar to that of the "Central Coast Bandit." The suspect has been described as a female, 40’s or 50's, 5'2 to 5'6, 150-165 lbs.  She was wearing a blue v-neck t-shirt with "Garden Isle of Kauai" on the front.  She was wearing a straw hat and wore thick black framed glasses. The suspect entered the bank and passed a demand note.  No weapon was seen or simulated and no one was injured during the robbery. The Central Coast Bandit has been linked bank robberies in Pacific Grove, Atascadero, Nipomo, Paso Robles, Modesto, and now Pismo Beach.

This is the 10th bank robbery in San Luis Obispo County this year. In 2012, there were three.
