Two Critical After Catalina Crash

Two people are in critical condition after a boat crashed on Catalina Island.  Authorities say a 22-foot power boat carrying three people crashed at full speed near Two Harbors on the island around 7 p.m. Monday.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department says two of the people are classified as critical, and the third, a minor, suffered injuries but is expected to be okay.  The injured boaters were flown over the channel to trauma centers on the mainland, and officials are investigating.
