Two Pismo Beach stores sold tobacco to a teenager during a sting operation on Tuesday. Police recruited a local teenager to try to purchase tobacco at 17 Pismo Beach stores. The teen bought tobacco at De Palo and Sons on Shell Beach Road and Pismo Food Store on Price Street. The police conducted the sting operation as part of an effort to reduce the number of tobacco sales to minors, saying that most smokers started smoking under the age of 18.
