Vandenberg Missile Test Delayed Over North Korea Tensions

vandenberg_launchRising tensions with North Korea are to blame for the delay of a routine test of an intercontinental ballistic missile (IBM).

Pentagon brass are delaying tomorrow’s routine test of an IBM at Vandenberg Air Force base in Santa Barbara County.

An unnamed senior military official tells the Lompoc Record that even though it's been scheduled for months, the launch of an unarmed Minuteman three missile could be misinterpreted by the North Koreans as a hostile gesture.

The test will probably take place next month.
